Adult mental health
If your mood, anxiety, sleep or general sense of wellbeing is affecting your work, relationships or daily life, an assessment gives you a clear clinical answer and a plan.
Many adults live with symptoms for years without knowing whether what they’re experiencing has a name. This service is for adults aged 18 and over in England who want a thorough psychiatric assessment without waiting for a GP referral.
If you are not sure which fits, book a general assessment. Your psychiatrist will explore whatever is relevant.
Persistent low mood, loss of interest, low motivation or energy.
Persistent worry, panic attacks, or anxiety that interferes with daily life.
Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.
Trauma-related symptoms, including complex PTSD.
Mood episodes involving both highs and lows.
Chronic stress affecting your mental and physical health.
Insomnia and disrupted sleep where a mental health cause is suspected.
If treatment is recommended, your psychiatrist will discuss the options with you. These may include medication, talking therapy, or both. Where medication is appropriate, we will write to your GP to request shared care.
Includes a 60-minute consultant appointment, full written diagnostic report and personalised treatment plan.
Follow-up appointment: £180 · Private prescription fee: £25
